Library Corner: Puzzle Race coming; I Spy snowflake challenge
Puzzle Race later in the month
We’re taking puzzles to a competitive level with head-to-head team competition during a puzzle race from 1-3:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at Tonganoxie Public Library, 217 E. Fourth St.
Teams of 2-4 people will work to finish a 500-piece puzzle as quickly as they can and whoever completes the puzzle first wins. The race is for adults and those 12 years and older. Register by calling the library at 913-845-3281. We do have a few individual spots open, if you don’t have a full team to register.
I Spy snowflake challenge starts soon
Snowflakes will be all over the inside of the library beginning Monday. There will be big and small snowflakes as well as several different kinds.
The I Spy snowflake challenge tests your skill at figuring out how many of each kind of snowflake we have. Pick up a challenge sheet at the front desk, record your answers, and then see if you’re a winner. The challenge is for all ages, and two winners will be selected to win special winter Squishmallows. The challenge will be available through Jan. 27, with the winners announced the following week.
