If you haven’t noticed, it’s almost Independence Day.

Fireworks can be discharged 8 a.m.- 11 p.m. starting Sunday and continuing through Thursday within city limits or as authorized by the Tonganoxie City Council.

The sale and discharge of fireworks were able to start Sunday.

Lawrence will have a drone show on July 3 at the Douglas County Fair- grounds instead of the traditional fire- works show.

McLouth, meanwhile, will have In- dependence Day festivities on July 4 at Stan Braksick Sports Complex.
