Library Corner: Full Steam Ahead Tuesdays; Puppy Yoga at the library
Full Steam Ahead Tuesdays
Each Tuesday afternoon in June, youths can come to the library for an activity that is both fun and educational. Programs begin at 2 p.m. and will focus on a new activity each week.
The theme this coming Tuesday is Lego Architect where kids will learn about famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Great Wall of China and then be challenged to try to build their own version in Legos.
On June 18, it’s astronomy day with DIY constellation jars and identifying constellations.
Lastly, on June 25, youths will get to see how to code a robot to act differently based on the colors it sees. No registration is required for any of these programs.
Puppy yoga at the library this month
The puppies are coming to the library June 18.
We’ll be doing puppy yoga at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. with yoga leader Aly Evans and puppies from the Leavenworth County Humane Society. You do have to register, and it’s $15 to participate, with all proceeds going to LCHS. Yoga sessions are just for adults and those 15 years and older.
Call the library at 913-845-3281 to sign up and reserve a spot.
