Dog park dirt work begins in Tonganoxie

Here are preliminary concept renderings for a potential dog park and natural playground in Tonganoxie. Much planning still needs to be hammered out, but the rendering shows a tentative concept for the space, which is west of County Road 5 across form the former Meadows Construction.Work has begun on Hill’s Pet Nutrition Bark Park. The project is in partnership with Tonganoxie Recreation Commission and is being constructed at 222 Tonganoxie Drive (across the creek to the east of Chieftain Park along County Road 25). There will be separate play areas for large and small dogs, a picnic area and more. More coverage to come in next week’s edition.
