Tonganoxie egg hunts Saturday; McLouth next weekend
Tonganoxie and McLouth will have Easter egg hunts the next two weekends.
In Tonganoxie, Cornerstone Family Worship will have an Easter Egg Hunt and other festivities from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. In addition to Easter egg hunts, there will be game booths, a cake walk, face painting and balloon animals are some of the events planned for Saturday. The church is at 205 E. U.S. Highway 24-40.
Tonganoxie Rec Commission will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Youths will race to get Easter eggs starting at 3 p.m. at Chieftain Park and VFW Park. Families with last names starting with A-M will go to Chieftain Park, while L-Z will be at VFW Park
Hunting ages are 10 and younger and families can capture photos with the Easter Bunny at both locations. There will be games, crafts and face painting stations at the two locations. Hunts will start at 3:05 p.m. for youths ages 0-3, 3:15 p.m. for children 4-6 and 3:25 p.m. for those ages 7-10. Chieftain Park is at 206 N. Main St. and VFW Park is at 900 E. First St.
McLouth Kiwanis Club will have its annual community Easter Egg Hunt from 10-11 a.m. March 30 at Stan Braksick Sports Complex in McLouth.
McLouth Church of the Nazarene will have an Easter Egg hunt and barbecue starting at noon at the church, 901 E. Lake St.
Festivities there will run until 2 p.m.
