Final farmers market of the year is Thursday in Tonganoxie
This Thursday will be the final time visitors can take in the Tonganoxie Farmers Market until 2025.
This year’s weekly market, which started in March, ends Thursday.
The finale will feature Outreach Day in which Master Food volunteers will serve up samples from local produce found at the farmers market.
Outreach Day coincides with the farmers market from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Tonganoxie Public Library parking lot. K-State Research and Extension is sponsoring Outreach Day.
The market again will have various local vendors and a food truck as part of this Thursday’s happenings.
Tonganoxie Public Library is at 217 E. Fourth St. in downtown Tonganoxie. The library parking lot has become a hub of activity on Thursdays from March into October in recent years. The current market was established in 2021.
