Free zinnia seed packets available at Tonganoxie library

Eleanor and Harrison Fatzer hold the display of free zinnia seeds. The two helped their grandmother, Lisa Thorne, pack the seeds on Sunday afternoon.Anyone wanting to add colorful flowers to their landscape can pick up zinnia seed packets from Tonganoxie Public Library.
Lisa Thorne, who lives in rural Tonganoxie, recently wrote a column about a vast field of wildflowers on the family’s property. Grandchildren helped her put together roughly 100 packets that can be picked up at the library for free.
Zinnias are easy to plant and attract a variety of pollinators each year.
A seed display can be found at the library.
