Vestal Wall
Services for Vestal Ray Wall, 80, of Bonner Springs, were Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs. Burial was in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Wall died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at his home.
He was born March 4, 1928, in Crocker, Mo., and had moved to the Bonner Springs area in the early 1960s. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Southwest Steel Fabricators in Bonner Springs for 29 years, retiring in 1990. He was a Baptist. He enjoyed working on all kinds of projects, fixing all kinds of items.
His wife of nearly 50 years, Gertrude Wall, died in May 2002.
Survivors include a son, Randy Wall, Bonner Springs; three daughters, Debbie Thomas and Tina Matthews, both of Bonner Springs and Pamela Taylor, Shawnee; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers; and four sisters.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, sent in care of Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
