David Rada
Mass of Christian Burial for David Charles Rada, M.D, 54, Lake Quivira, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery, Omaha, Neb.
Dr. Rada died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at his home.
He was born April 8, 1954, in Chicago, the son of Irwin C. and Mary L. (Andrews) Rada. He graduated in 1980 from the University of Nebraska Medical School and served his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Rada’s curiosity for all aspects of life led him to make numerous discoveries in the detection of cancer margins, thus his invention of the Cryo Hist machine.
He was a member of the American Academies of Mohs Surgery and Dermatology, Kansas and Missouri Dermatological Societies and Lake Quivira County Club.
Survivors include his wife, Christina (Fogle) Rada; two daughters, Megan and Rebecca; a son, Matthew, all of the home; four sisters, Muriel Rada, Ruth Rada, Susan Wilson and Judy Lenz, all of Omaha, Neb.; and a brother, Mark, Kansas City, Mo.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
