Joe White

Graveside memorial services for Joe W. White, 83, Katy, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mr. White, formerly of Tonganoxie, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, in Katy.
He was born Dec. 30, 1924, in Eudora, the son of George W. and Ruby Warren White. He was a seaman first class in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. Mr. White was a meat inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a member of the United Methodist Church in Caney, Kan.
He married Myrtis Nulk on March 22, 1947, in McLouth. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Larry, Katy, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
