Dalton Hawkins

Services for Dalton Eli Hawkins, 18, of Shawnee, were Tuesday, April 28, at Crossroads Christian Church in Shawnee. Burial was in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
Dalton died Friday, April 24, 2009, in Lawrence.
He was born Aug. 13, 1990, in Shawnee, the son of Shawn and Rhonda Hawkins.
A 2008 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest, Dalton was currently enrolled as an honors student at the University of Kansas, majoring in pre-pharmacy. He was recently named to the dean’s list and was a member of the Mount Oread Scholars. Dalton lived in Ellsworth Residence Hall and was a member of Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity.
He was a member of Crossroads Church in Shawnee.
Survivors include his parents, Shawn and Rhonda Hawkins, Shawnee; grandparents Don and Arlene Teel, Shawnee, Roy and Karen Snook, Hoker, Okla., and Kathleen Hawkins, Johnston, Iowa; two sisters, Makenzie, of the home, and Misty Burnett of Panama City, Fla.
The family requests memorials to a fund in Dalton’s name at Commerce Bank.
