William Trieb

TONGANOXIE — Services for William L. Trieb, 83, Tonganoxie, were Wednesday, April 29, at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Basehor.
Mr. Trieb died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Nursing Center, Leavenworth.
He was born March 27, 1926, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Otto and Sara (Scott) Trieb. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a rancher and a maintenance worker for Rock Island Railroad and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
On Oct. 25, 1945, he married Darlene Trieb in Kansas City, Kan. She died Oct. 23, 2005.
Survivors include three sons, Gary, Kearney, Mo., Tim, Bothell, Wash., and Steve, Tonganoxie; two daughters, Nancy Millison, Basehor, and Sarah Marshall, Bonner Springs; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
