Albert Budy

Services for Albert “Al” W. Budy, 91, Bonner Springs were Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Burial followed at the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Budy died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at his home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Muncie. He attended school at the old Stony Point School. Mr. Budy worked for more than 40 years at Lonestar Cement Plant in Bonner Springs and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bonner Springs. After dating for just a week, he married his wife, Janice, and they were married for more than 70 years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Budy; and two sisters, Josephine Hartman and Anna Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Budy, of the home; a son, William G. Budy and wife, Lydia, Kansas City, Kan.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Budy, Basehor; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Wayside Waifs in care of the funeral home.
