Mass of Christian Burial for Marie A. James, 103, Shawnee, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 12800 W. 75th St. Visitation will precede the Mass from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. James died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Shawnee Gardens Nursing Home.
She was born March 11, 1906, in St. Mary’s, Kan., the daughter of John and Eva (Martel) Storm.
The family moved to Kansas City, Kan., when Marie was 12 years old.
In June 1929, she married Lewis E. James, a Kansas City, Kan., firefighter. He died in 1965. A daughter, Donna Kuebelbeck, died in 2001
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bob Seuferling, Olathe; a son-in-law, Bud Kuebelbeck, Shawnee; three sisters, Angela Hanis, Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif., Virginia Kierl, Louisburg, and Irene (Joe) Kissinger. Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
