Donna Gray

A celebration of the life of Donna Sue Gray, 48, Shawnee, will be Saturday, July 25, after a visitation from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Ms. Gray died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at her home with her daughters.
She grew up in the Shawnee area and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. She owned her own salon, The Hair Experience, in Mission before her illness forced her to quit and sell the salon to a friend.
Ms. Gray was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Mae Thornton.
Survivors include her father, Floyd Thornton, Lake Ozark, Mo.; two daughters, Tricia Gray, Shawnee, and Terra Gray, Kansas City, Mo.; her former husband and friend, John Gray, Shawnee; two sisters, Lindy  (Max) Thomas-Mirot, Fon du Lac, Wis., and Debbie Thornton, Lake Ozark, Mo.; a brother, Keith Thornton, Lake Ozark, Mo.; and a special grandson Cainen Manis-Gray, Shawnee.
