Services for Claudia “Grandma Duck” DeMaranville, 85, Bonner Springs, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. DeMaranville died Thursday July 23, at the Golden Living Center Kaw River in Edwardsville.
She was born June 8, 1924, in Kansas City, Kan.
She was a member of the Bonner Springs Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Kansas City, Kan., Moose Lodge.
Mrs. DeMaranville was a longtime member of the Bonner Springs First Christian Church. She and her husband, Clifford J. DeMaranville, owned and operated Dee’s Service Station in Bonner Springs from 1952 to 1982. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford J. DeMaranville, in 1988, one brother, Robert Correll, and four sisters, Pat Osborne, Betty Chamberlain, Virginia Gampper and Barbara Correll. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Surritte, and husband Hurshel of Bonner Springs; three sisters, Marianne Wenniger, Norma Cook and Gloria Smith; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Bonner Springs First Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
