George Thorpe

Graveside services for George Thorpe, 92, Eudora, were Thursday at De Soto Cemetery.
Mr. Thorpe died Friday, July 17, 2009, at his home. He was born March 14, 1917, in Lenapah, Okla.
Mr. Thorpe worked at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant until he retired.
He married Ruby Andrews in 1948. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Longstreth, Lenexa, and a granddaughter.
The family suggests memorials to the De Soto Veterans of Foreign Wars, P.O. Box 54, De Soto, KS 66018.
