Erma Hadl

Graveside service for Erma M. Hadl, 87, Lawrence will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City.
Mrs. Hadl died Monday, June 15, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 7, 1922, in Clinton, the daughter of Michael and Marguerita Prudence Caylor Hadl.
She grew up in Douglas County and graduated from Eudora High School.
Mrs. Hadl worked in Vienna, Va., in the 1950s and ’60s. Previously she worked for Consolidated Aircraft Corp. in San Diego, cadmium-plating B-24s during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Lyndon Mullis, Baldwin City; two daughters, Diana Sanderson, Lincolnville, Maine, and Sharon Wehling, Nixa, Mo.; two sisters, Rosa Bell Cain, Linwood, and Alberta Cowell, Simi Valley, Calif; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
