Jason Gumm
Kansas City, Kan. — Memorial services for Jason “Jay” Alan Gumm, 30, of Kansas City, Kan., will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Mission Creek Baptist Church, 10900 Riverview, Edwardsville. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, which is also at the church.
Mr. Gumm passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the University of Kansas Hospital after a battle with cancer.
He was born on Feb. 1, 1979, in Kansas City, Kan. He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kan.
Jason and his wife, Bobbie, had been married for 14 years and he worked as a residential and commercial mover in his father’s family-owned business for 13 years.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Gumm, daughters, Susanne and Ashley, sons, Brenden and Gaven, all of the home; parents Alicia Gumm-Downing and Danny Downing; sisters, Nina Gumm, Christa Gumm, Danielle Downing; brother, Cody Gumm; step-sister, April Tribble; step-brothers, Ronnie Fortner, Carl Downing, Danny Downing.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
