Minnie Atchison

Minnie Atchison, 87, died Nov. 23, 2009, at Hillside Village in De Soto. Graveside inurnment at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Rossville Cemetary in Rossiville.
Mrs. Atchison was born July 27, 1922, in Rossville to Charles and Jessie Steffie Parr. She graduated from Rossville High School and attended business school. She married Harold W. Atchison on Oct. 14, 1943, in Rossville. The couple later moved to Topeka where she worked for the Kansas Motor Vehicle Department for more than 30 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter Julia Ann Hansford; sister Bette Bringle; and a brother. He is survived by her son, Bobby G. Atchison and his wife, Pat, De Soto, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
