Bernice Klamet
Bonner Springs — Funeral Mass for Bernice Louise (Poje) Klamet, 85, Bonner Springs, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor. Burial will be in Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Mrs. Klamet died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at her home.
She was born Sept. 3, 1924, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Jaklevic) Poje. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1942. She and her husband raised their three children on their family farm in Linwood.
Mrs. Klamet was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bonner Springs and recently had attended Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor. Her life revolved around caring for her children and grandchildren. She married Vincent “Pete” F. Klamet on April 23, 1955 in Kansas City, Kan. He died earlier.
Survivors include three children, David V. Klamet, Lawrence, Paul A. Klamet, Linwood, and Anita L. Klamet-Roult and husband, Charlie, Bonner Springs; and six grandchildren.
Rosary Services will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with visitation to follow, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation or American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
