Dennis Kling

Graveside services for Dennis K. Kling, 57, Shawnee, and previously of Kansas City, Kan., were Friday, Aug. 21, at Monticello Union Cemetery, Shawnee.
Mr. Kling died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, in Perry, Okla.
He was born Oct. 19, 1951, in Perry, Iowa, the son of Don K. and Ellen E. Kling. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1969. At the time of his death, Mr. Kling was a truck driver for FedEx. Previously, he worked for Chris Truck Lines and AJ Plastics. Mr. Kling also worked for years with the Bonner Springs Police Department as a detective and with the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department and Indian Springs Mall Security.
Survivors include a son, Darren K., Basehor; longtime girlfriend, Jan Christenson, the home; and his father, Don K., Ames, Iowa.
Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, handled arrangements.
