Harry Trotman

Memorial services for Harry Williams Trotman, 89, Shawnee, were Tuesday, Aug. 17, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Shawnee.
Mr. Trotman died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Trinity Nursing and Rehab in Merriam.
He was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Haddenfield, N.J., the son of Frank and Helen Trotman. He attended Temple University briefly before joining the U.S. Army Air Corps.
In 1944, he married Marjorie E. Duncan while stationed at Sedalia Army Air Base, which is currently Whiteman Air Base.
Mr. Trotman served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps and later the Air Force before retiring in 1985. He was the band leader of the Harry Trotman Orchestra, and owned and operated Trotman Music from 1975 to 1986.
His wife of 48 years, Marjorie, died earlier.
Survivors include his daughter, Beth (Robert) Behrens; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice.
