Kevin Nugent

Shawnee — Services for Kevin P. Nugent, 51, Shawnee, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee. Burial will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Nugent died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born, Feb. 26, 1958, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Jean Gilmer and Thad E. Nugent Sr.
Mr. Nugent attended Shawnee Mission West High School. He worked as a jewelry die maker for the Green Jewelry Co. He was a martial arts instructor for Young Champions in Lenexa.
Survivors include his parents, Jean Gilmer, Shawnee, and Thad E. Nugent Sr., Chesterfield, Mo.; a daughter, Shauna Benjamin, Bellevue, Neb.; a son, Timothy Nugent, Martinsville, Ill.; and two sisters, Jean Johnson, Knoxville, Tenn., and Kathleen Wengert, Urbandale, Iowa.
The family suggests memorials to the Timothy Nugent College Fund, sent in care of Amos Family Chapel, 10900 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203.
