John Ross

Services for John “Sonny” A. Ross, 66, Bonner Springs and formerly of Basehor, were Tuesday, June 1, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Burial was in Edwardsville Cemetery.
Mr. Ross died Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Sept. 4, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo.
Mr. Ross had worked for 14 years at the Wyandotte County Kaw View Juvenile Home, retiring in 1992.
A son, John A. Ross III, died in 1990.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Linda Ross, of the home; four children, Bobbie (Galen) Rose, Tonganoxie, Sandy (Rob) Magill, Kansas City, Kan., Jeff Ross, Lansing, and Michael Ross, the home; a brother, Bobby Ross, Bolivar, Mo.; a sister, Sue Ferguson, Sweet Springs, Ark.; and six grandchildren.
