Joseph Biron
A celebration of the life of Joseph Biron, 81, Lake Quivira, will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Lake Quivira Club House.
Mr. Biron died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Lakeview Village Care Center, Lenexa.
He was born Nov. 14, 1928, in Fryeburg, Maine, the son of Joseph and Yvonne (King) Biron. He earned his mechanical engineering degree in 1951 from the University of Maine. After graduation he worked with Worthington Pump Corp., until 1968 when he started his own business as a Fairbanks Morse Pump representative.
Mr. Biron was a lifetime member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Kansas City Engineers Club.
He and his family moved to Lake Quivira, KS in 1963.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Phyllis (McLaren) Biron; three sons, Jr (Teresa) Biron, Peter Biron, and Bill (Shay) Biron, all of Lake Quivira; six grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Cluotier, Georgia; and a brother, Milford Biron, Texas.
