Cape Fair, Mo. — A memorial service for Edsel Marsh Snapp, 85, of Cape Fair, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at First Baptist Church of Cape Fair. Burial with military honors was Saturday, March 13, in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Snapp died March 10, 2010, at Lawrence Medical Center.
He was born on June 18, 1924, in Windsor, Mo., the son of Jacob Alexander and Alma May (Marsh) Snapp.
Mr. Sapp was a World War II Army veteran and served his country honorably. He worked for the General Motors Fairfax assembly plant before he retired in 1980. He was a member of United Auto Workers union and an active member of First Baptist Church of Cape Fair.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 48 years, Esther Grace (Hutsler) Snapp, and a granddaughter.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald (Kris), Marshall, Mo., Jacob Lynn (Diane), Butler, Mo., and Ron (Susie), Tonganoxie; a daughter, Carolyn Evans (Mark), Bonner Springs; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
