Ruth Keling

Services for Ruth C. (Rethemeyer) Keling, 76, of Linwood, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Burial will be in Mt. Sidney Cemetery in Linwood.
Mrs. Keling died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo.
She was born Feb. 26, 1934, in St. Joseph, Mo., and had lived in the Linwood area since 1972. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, Mo., and had received her associate degree from Northwest Missouri State. She also had received a paralegal degree from Johnson County Community College.
Mrs. Keling’s career included a position with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Kansas City, Mo. At the time of her death, she was working for Stinson, Morrison and Hecker law firm in Kansas City, Mo. She had attended the Methodist Church and was also a past member of the Tonganoxie Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include five sons, Kyle (Vicki) Keling, McLouth, Kevin (Pam) Keling, Novi, Mich., Kirk Keling, St. Joseph, Mo., Kurtis Kent (Denise) Keling, Overland Park, and Korey (Tessa) Keling, Midland, Texas; three brothers, Gus Rethemeyer, Hagerstown, Md., and Dean Rethemeyer and Gene Rethemeyer, both of St. Joseph; a sister, Joan Maag, Smithville, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the visitation, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home.
