Viola Yount

Services for Viola Jane Yount, 94, Kansas City, Kan., will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Private family committal will be at a later date.
Mrs. Yount died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Presbyterian Manor in Kansas City, Kan.
She was born Jan. 10, 1916 in Ola, Ark.
She married John W. Yount in 1936, settling to raise a family in Kansas City, Kan. Widowed at 40, she later married Frank O. Allison, moving to California where she happily raised a second family of adopted daughters.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands and an infant daughter, Donna Leota Yount.
Survivors include two sons, Edward J. and Danny G. Yount; and three daughters, Frances Hawkins, Vera Kay Pearson and Billie Allison; a stepdaughter, JoAnn Neely; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the visitation from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
