Services for Catherine E. Cranston, 93, Kansas City, Kan., will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cranston died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at the Life Care of Kansas City.
She was born March 17, 1917, the daughter of William and Inez Saunders. She was a graduate of Wyandotte High School and had worked for Wolf Brothers and Helzbergs Diamonds for 20 years before retiring. She was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church and current member of Sunset Hills Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, George E Cranston, a son James E. Cranston and a grandson James F. Cranston.
Survivors include three granddaughters; Marie Hines, Riverside, Mo., Kimberley (Frank) Dobbins, Kansas City, Kan., and Joanna (Jerry), Tonganoxie; a grandson, James R. (Karen) Cranston, Gladstone, Mo.; daughter-in-law Carol Cranston; and 10 great-grandchildren.
