Elmer Parish Sr.

Linwood — Graveside services for Elmer Parish, 74, Linwood, will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Mt. Sidney Cemetery, Linwood.
Mr. Parish died Tuesday Oct. 12, 2010, at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Dec. 9, 1935, at his family’s farm in rural Arkansas. He retired from CertainTeed Saint-Gobain Insulation, Kansas City, Kan. He had served as mayor of Linwood and worked for Linwood Water Works.
His wife, Faye, and a stepson, Russ Bowden died earlier.
Survivors include two sons Elmer Jr., of the home, and Keith A. (Tammy), Kansas City, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Ronda Dianne Elmer, Eudora, and Kimberly Fawn Heathman (Jamie) Topeka; a sister, Sarah M. Morris, Linwood; a brother, Orville Paul Parish, Parrish, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs.
