Marilyn Fire

Graveside services for Marilyn deLain Fire, 56, Bonner Springs, were Friday, Oct. 28, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Topeka. She died Oct. 27, 2010.
She was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Topeka, the daughter of Paul deLain and Frances Smith deLain. She grew up in Pauline and was a 1971 graduate of Washburn Rural High School. She married Daniel Fire shortly after graduating. They were later divorced.
She worked for many years as a rural mail carrier in Bonner Springs and Tonganoxie. She was a member of Terra Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Frances deLain; brothers Johnny and Charles Lee deLain; and sisters Carol (Tom) Horton and Diane deLain.
