Lela Jiles

Lawrence — Services for Lela Bell Jiles, 79, Lawrence, were Tuesday, April 19, at Cornerstone Family Worship, Tonganoxie. Burial was in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Mrs. Jiles died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
She was born July 4, 1931, in Otterville, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Bernice Morney. She was a member of Praise Temple, Lawrence. She worked as a nurse’s assistant for many years.
Her first husband, Melvin C. Henderson, died Jan. 3, 1984.
She married Robert H. Jiles on Oct. 17, 1992, in Tonganoxie. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Willis Henderson, Kansas City, Kan; a stepson, Royce King, Houston; a stepdaughter, Mary Petrie, Houston; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, handled arrangements.
