Nick Owens

Services for Nick Owens, 30, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 17, at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
Mr. Owens died Saturday Aug. 13, 2011, in Lawrence.
He was born Dec. 21, 1980, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of James and Barbara Brents Owens.
He was the monster truck driver of Iron Outlaw and worked for 2 Xtreme Racing, Tonganoxie. In 2011, he received the title of Monster Truck Rookie of the Year.
Survivors include his parents, James and Susie Owens and Barbara Conrad, all of Tonganoxie; his companion, Rozie Reed, Tonganoxie; a son on the way, Waylon; a daughter, Sydny Murr, McLouth; three sisters, Danielle Hoenscheidt, Kansas City, Shelby Stroble, Leavenworth, and Donna Hoegler, Tonganoxie; three brothers, Mike Gibson, Oskaloosa, Nathan Bunce, Independence, Mo., and John Conrad, Tonganoxie.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home.
