Georgia Trieb

Georgia Marie Trieb, 85, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away Monday March 3, 2014.
Funeral service 10 am Saturday March 8, 2014 at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. The family will receive friends for 1 hour before the funeral. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Basehor, KS.
Georgia was born November 30, 1928 in Tonganoxie, KS, the daughter of Joe and Georgia (Casteel) Gruendel. She was the owner and operator of Trieb Grocery Store from 1953-1974. She later retired from the US Disciplinary Barracks in 1995. She was a member of the 1st Congregational Church, Tonganoxie. She was Mayginnis 4-H Hustlers Leader for 20 years. She received her Teaching certificate from St. Mary College, LV, and taught during the 1940’s. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Patterson Trieb in 1997 and her son Mark Joseph Trieb in 1975.
Survivors include; one son, Marty (Glenda) Trieb, Tonganoxie; one daughter, Marilee (David) Drennan, Tonganoxie; two sisters, Eleanor Northern, Tonganoxie, Joan Cronemeyer, Tonganoxie; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop, Tonganoxie.
