Tonganoxie High football nabs several all-league selections
Tonganoxie High football landed 14 spots on this year’s all-Frontier League team.
On offense, junior running back Colton Brusven, junior receiver Isaiah Holthaus and senior offensive lineman Connor Cole all were first-team selections.
THS also had three honorable mention on offense with sophomore quarterback Talon Langford, sophomore receiver Todd Brown and sophomore offensive lineman TJ Leeper.
On defense, THS had two first-team picks and two second-team selections, along with two honorable mention.
First-team picks were senior linebacker Jack Messersmith and senior defensive back Wyatt Harris. Second-team selections were Langford at defensive back and Cole at defensive tackle.
Honorable mention were Leeper at defensive tackle and senior Nathen Smith at defensive end.
Tonganoxie also came through big in special teams.
Junior Jackson McWilliams once again was first team place kicker, while Langford brought home first-team honors as punter.
Tonganoxie finished the season in the middle of the Frontier League and went 4-5 overall after falling in a Week 9 playoff game at Piper.
