The Tonganoxie High girls golf team opened the season Monday with a fourth-place finish at the Ottawa Invitational.
THS shot a 206 at the tournament. Osage City won the meet with a low score of 190. Eudora placed second with a 195 and Ottawa third with a 197.
Santiana Garcia led Tonganoxie with a 48. Abby Clarkson was right behind with a 50 and Paityn Van Middlesworth with a 51. Julia Staples shot a 57.
The team’s next meet is Sept. 7 at the Wamego Invitational.
