The Chieftains opened the season this past week with two victories against Jeff West. Next up for THS is Thursday at home against Spring Hill.Tonganoxie High baseball got off to a good start last week.
The Chieftains defeated Jeff West, 8-7, on Thursday and then got another victory against the Tigers, 12-3, on Friday.
Now 2-0 on the season, the squad has a home game Thursday against Spring Hill and then is back on the road Friday in Kansas City, Kan., against Turner.
From there, the Chieftains will compete in a tournament in Fort Scott next week, with games April 6-8. The team has two more road contests, April 11 at Paola and April 13 at Louisburg before having another home game April 14 against Basehor-Linwood.
