Most fall sports finish up and clocks wind back, which means there’s not much of a breather for multiple-sport student-athletes competing in the fall and winter.

Tonganoxie and McLouth high school student-athletes will join the rest of the state in starting preseason practices for winter sports. That means boys and girls wrestlers and boys and girls basketball players at Tonganoxie and McLouth will begin conditioning and preseason practices next week.

Monday is the first day winter sports practices can start for Kansas high schools.
