Tonganoxie cut it to 28-23 with 9:52 left in the fourth quarter and then actually took the lead, 29-28, with 6:04 left in the fourth quarter.

Spring Hill, though, would respond with its first points since the first half. The Broncos went up 36-29 with 2:59 left in regulation. The Chieftains weren’t able to answer one last time and SHHS held on for a Frontier League victory.

Tonganoxie fell to 0-1 in conference play and 1-1 overall. THS will look to get back in the win column this Friday with its homecoming game against Chanute. The Comets are 2-0 after defeating Augusta, 42-21, in Week 1 and then Pittsburg, 27-0, in Week 2.
