The Tonganoxie High basketball teams have a new look this season.

KC Simmons takes the helm for the THS boys, while Austin Eckert is the new head girls coach.

Simmons replaces Phil Jones, while Eckert takes over for Mitch Loomis.

The Tonganoxie teams got in some exhibition play with a jamboree Tuesday night at Chieftain Arena.

The THS boys played against Lansing and Wellsville, while the THS girls played LHS and Oskaloosa in a preseason jamboree Tuesday night after The Mirror’s deadline.

Both squads open the season Friday at Louisburg, but will have their home openers this coming Tuesday against Bonner Springs and then will be back on the road Dec. 13 at Jefferson County North.
