Tonganoxie High girls basketball eyes first 3-0 start in several years

The Tonganoxie High girls basketball team will try to start the season 3-0 for the first time since 2012-13 when the Chieftains travel later today to Winchester to face Jefferson County North.

THS has opened the season with Frontier League victories at Louisburg (44-42) and Dec. 10 against Bonner Springs (37-28). The Chieftains take on a Chargers team that is 0-2. JCN’s losses have been to Rock Creek (61-19) and Jeff West (43-42).

Tonganoxie boys basketball is seeking its first victory of the season against its opponent from the Northeast Kansas League. JCN also is 0-2 on the season on the boys side. The Chargers have lost to Rock Creek (70-22) and Jeff West (46-33).

Tonganoxie has lost at Louisburg (77-50) and at home against Bonner Springs (80-54).
