Wilson, Bradley, Stean all wrestling for medals Saturday for Tonganoxie girls

Autumn Wilson, Stella Bradley and Grace Stean will be in the consolation semifinals Saturday at the Class 4-1A state championships at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina.

Wilson and Bradley were one match away from the championship bout, while Stean battled back from a tough opening round loss Thursday. She’s rattled off three straight victories in the consolation bracket. If she wins two more, she’ll nab third place in the 170-pound division. All three wrestlers will finish anywhere from third to sixth.

Bradley has the task of defeating an opponent a second time after handing the wrestler her first loss of the season at regionals. Bradley (35-6) takes on Rossville’s Keera Lacock (36-2) in the consolation semifinals.
Finley Keller, meanwhile, got a victory on backside, but was eliminated after dropping a second match in the tournament. Her season ended at 26-20.

Tonganoxie is tied for 14th with 32 points after two days. Oakley leads the field heading into the final day Saturday with 82. Rossville is second with 65 and Chanute third with 60.
