Tonganoxie High baseball 3-game winning streak snapped at Sabetha tourney

The Tonganoxie High baseball team nabbed its first victory of the season this past week in a Frontier League clash and then stretched its win streak to three at Jeff West, but couldn’t keep the momentum going in tournament later in the week in Sabetha.
THS got a 3-0 victory March 19 at Eudora after dropping two games the previous weekend at Maize. The Chieftains then swept the Jeff West Tigers, 3-0 and 8-3, Thursday on the road.
In the games at Sabetha, Tonganoxie fell to Holton, 3-1, and then Silver Lake, 10-4.
Up next for Tonganoxie (1-0 in Frontier League play and 3-4 overall) is Thursday at Spring Hill and then Friday at home against Blue Valley Southwest.
