Tonganoxie High boys wrestling earned four gold medals and three silver medals on its way to a second-place team finish at this year’s Frontier League championships Saturday in Ottawa.
THS score 188.5 points for second place. Paola won the meet with 232 points.
Brodie Starcher, Tyler Chrisp, Silas McCloy and Brady Martin won gold, while Dax Duffett, Blake Riedel and Clayton Crookham won silver. Beau Underwood and Gavin Rhoads won bronze for the Chieftains.
Tonganoxie has two weeks to prepare for the postseason. THS will be the host for a Class 4A regional Feb. 22 at Chieftain Arena. The Top 4 teams in each weight class will advance to state Feb. 28-March 1 in Salina.
