Tonganoxie police, Leavenworth Co. Sheriff’s office participating in Safe Arrival campaign

The Tonganoxie Police Department is at Sixth and Church streets.The Tonganoxie Police Department and the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office are joining other law enforcement agencies across the state, including the Kansas Highway Patrol in the Kansas Thanksgiving Safe Arrival traffic enforcement campaign.
Although all Kansas traffic laws will be enforced, the extra provision will be actively enforcing occupant protection laws.
Officers will provide education that serves as a reminder that buckling up saves lives.

Supported through a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation, the campaign started Saturday and concludes this coming Sunday.
