Wool-winning Wildcats: K-State team includes member from Tonganoxie

Kansas State fans have had a lot to cheer about this school year, from the football team winning the Big 12 championship in December to the basketball team reaching the Elite Eight in Jerome Tang’s first year this past weekend, it’s been a banner year so far for the Wildcats.

A Tonganoxie alum also is part of a winning K-State team this year.

Tonganoxie’s Samuel Manus is a member go the K-State wool judging team.

The squad recently finished up a winning season by placing second overall at a contest in Rapid City, S.D.

K-State’s team also had high placings at the National Western Stock Show Contest, the University of Wyoming contest and the San Antonio Stock Show Contest.

Team members alongside Manus are Katrina Turner, Hayden Lott, August Hulse and Allison Davis.

Team coach is Albert Noirtje.
