Leavenworth County in high wind warning

Radar shows some weather activity in portions of Kansas and Missouri on Thursday, April 25, 2024.Southeast winds of 40-50 mph and wind gusts up to 65 mph are possible Thursday in the Tonganoxie area.
The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties in Kansas and Clinton, Platte and Clay counties in Missouri until 6 p.m. today.
Damaging winds are expected to blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficiult, especially for high-profile vehicles, according to the NWS warning.
