Tonganoxie USD 464 and Genesis Schools announced Monday afternoon that Tuesday classes were canceled due to the inclement winter weather that started Monday.

Basehor-Linwood also has canceled Tuesday classes. Both Tonganoxie and Basehor-Linwood school boards have postponed Monday’s board meetings. Basehor-Linwood now will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 16. Tonganoxie’s rescheduled board meeting still is being determined.

Here’s a list of closings and cancellations so far:

MONDAY

* Tonganoxie Recreation Commission, no evening open gym.

* Tonganoxie Public Library, closing at 4 p.m.

* Tonganoxie USD 464, school board meeting canceled. New date TBD.

* Basehor-Linwood USD 458, school board meeting postponed. New time and date: 6 p.m. Jan. 16.

* Tonganoxie High basketball vs. Pleasant Ridge, games postponed until Jan. 23.

TUESDAY

* Tonganoxie USD 464, no classes

* Genesis Schools, no classes

* Basehor-Linwood USD 458, no classes

* Tonganoxie High basketball vs. Christ Prep (girls) and Metro Academy (boys), rescheduled for Wednesday.

* Coach J’s Basketball Clinic kindergarten session, scheduled for this Tuesday through Thursday, is being rescheduled to the same days next week right after school. If you have any questions, call 913-845-3502.
