The weather couldn’t have been much better for Saturday’s 36th annual St. Patrick’s Parade in Tonganoxie.

Spectators lined Fourth Street as entry after entry made its way west through downtown to Tonganoxie Public Library.

With floats and participants decked out in green, the parade lasted roughly 12 minutes and was filled with various community organizations and businesses, along with several politicians gearing up for a big election year.

Tonganoxie Public Library won best club float this year, while the First Judicial District CASA Association float won best family float. Best car went to Thomas Wyrick and Lynch Real Estate won Best Overall entry.

For folks who weren’t able to see Saturday’s parade, The Mirror livestreamed the event on Facebook.

Mirror editor Shawn F. Linenberger and Tonganoxie High School senior Brendan Bowlin provided commentary during the livestream.
